As part of a team focused on increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services through our partner community, you will develop new sales opportunities.
Key job responsibilities
As a Lead Development Representative you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of a group of cloud technologies.
Your responsibilities will include qualifying inbound partner leads, working with partner sales teams on deals and managing partner opportunities.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Milan, MI, ITA | Rome, RM, ITA
Basic Qualifications
• Ensure high customer service for all inbound requests
• Meet or exceed response times for all inbound requests
• Cooperate in the development and execution of a territory plan including outbound calling against established target lists
• Manage numerous requests concurrently & strategically
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and related territory target lists in Salesforce.com
• Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption
• Differentiate and understand various IT roles and responsibilities
• Identify target accounts using market data and industry intelligence
• Build understanding of customer pain points, requirements and potential value that can be delivered by AWS
• Present at a high level the AWS value and positioning of solutions to prospects and customers relevant to their industry or target market.
• Actively penetrate whitespace accounts to provide access for our partners sales teams and field sales teams
• Be willing to navigate prospective accounts from and into a senior executive level to identify new customer opportunities in a focused market space
• Compose business class focused e-mails responding to call backs and fulfilling information requests
• Set appointments for the AWS sales team for sales
• Achieve activity targets from assigned territory or set of accounts.
• Provide timely reporting using the AWS CRM tool to document activity, conversations, scheduling meetings
• Use an opportunity management processes to ensure that appointments created are moved to appropriate resources
• Report to management on prospecting progress providing relevant information that can be presented up the AWS management chain.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to successfully manage a high volume of inbound leads as well as experience interacting with partners. He/she should also be a self-starter who is prepared to work in a high-volume environment and with multiple sales teams.
• Selling experience, preferably in business to business technology sales
• Strong interest in a technology sales career
• Willingness to learn and willingness to fail, but always willing to try
• Understanding of the technology businesses use to operate
• Comfort with different roles and responsibilities of senior management of an organization
• Competence developing and delivering presentations to large and diverse audiences
• Comfortable collaborating with extended team
• Skilled in prospecting techniques
• Well organized, self motivated and driven by success
• Experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Salesforce.com
