TITLE: Lead Database AdministratorLOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO

　　JOB SUMMARY:Support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer database experience. Administer automation platform and assist in code development via Ansible and Oracle Application Express tool set. Support internal SSRS and Power Bi report development. Support multiple services and multiple databases of medium complexity with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility of data. Design and maintain access and security administration. Design, implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies on Database Management Systems. Support multiple services and multiple databases of medium complexity with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility of data. Perform Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Utilize Always-On, High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server. Troubleshoot alerts including alert log, Jobs, Disk Group, and Tablespace and performance issues. Perform capacity planning of SQL server environment and provide recommendations to management to sustain business growth. Design, implement, maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) methodologies and create documentation. Gather business requirements and designs and implement multiple projects along with the production support. Create standard operational procedures and templates. Act as mentor for Database Administrators and Associate Database Administrators. Perform research and provide plans to remediate complex business problems. Assist the development team to improve database design and procedures on TSQL best practices.

　　EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and 3 years of experience using SQL, SQL clusters, and virtual instances in order to perform installs, determine if an instance is online failed over, read error logs, perform cluster validations, and perform troubleshooting steps. Must have 2 years of experience using SAN technologies and Oracle to determine best configuration for data drives, log drives, backup drives, and temporary drives; analyzing OS systems to ensure connection to database and to explore file system for log entries; performing data replication and recommending best method to use, including: transactional, mirroring, merge, and snapshot replication methods. Must have 1 year of experience analyzing SQL environment using SolarWinds DPA to recommend and implement changes to the environment to improve database performance.
