About Lead Citrix Systems Engineer - Network/Virtualization

The Lead Citrix Systems Engineer - Network/Virtualization is a technical leader of a High-Performing Engineering team with a desire to deliver sophisticated solutions. They are essential in providing a world-class experience to our associates and business partners.

Participates as a technical leader of a High-Performing Engineering team, with a primary focus on providing reliable and secure virtual access to 20K concurrent users.

Defines and establish monitoring thresholds and action plans for Citrix ADC and Storefront events, to be managed by Level 2 support teams.

Partners with Network, Security, and Offshore business partners to develop resilient and secure access to existing Virtual App and Desktop environments.

Develops technical roadmap to provide network access to cloud-based virtual servers and desktops.

Configures and supports NetScaler and Access Gateway solutions to support scalable delivery of applications and desktops to various endpoints.

Demonstrates expertise with Citrix NetScaler, GSLB, and implement load balancing best practices.

Configuration, installation, and maintenance of Citrix Provisioning Services and Citrix NetScaler.

Delivers solutions in support of Citrix Virtual Apps Desktops

Required Qualifications

Our Department of Defense contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position.

Successfully receive approval for government security clearance (eQIP - electronic questionnaire for investigation processing). Employment with Humana Government Business is contingent upon your having access to government information and systems

10+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting issues where the Netscaler is part of the network path

10+ years of hands-on experience diagnosing and addressing end-user response time issues

8+ years of systems engineering experience at the enterprise level with strong knowledge of Highly Available Citrix environments

5+ years of experience of multiple operating systems and related utilities and hardware

5+ years of storage management experience

3+ years of experience leading teams withing Systems Engineering.

3+ years of experience with Citrix Cloud

3+ years of experience with Azure AD Multi-Factor Authentication

Knowledge of TCP/IP and network troubleshooting tools (WireShark, etc.)

Knowledge of technical writing principles and practices

Skill to effectively analyze and solve problems

Skill in software installation and maintenance

Ability to work independently as well as with a team

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, clients, and the public

Ability to install, configure, and manage Citrix Access Gateway devices, both appliances and virtual instances

Hands-on load balancing experience

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or 6+ years of training, or work experience.

Automation skills are highly preferred

Experience working in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment

Citrix Certified Professional - Networking (CCP-N)

Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V)

Additional Information

This role will also provide support for Humana Government Business and will require a clear background investigation performed by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency.

Location/Work Style: Remote US. Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours beginning at 9:00 A.M. EST.

Work-At-Home Requirements

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$115,300 - $158,600 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
