  About the Role:

  At PitchBook, employees are our customers, and customers are king! The Finance team handles everything “money” at PitchBook including accounting, quote-to-cash, payroll, compliance, and budgeting for our fast-paced and growing company. The team supports the growth of PitchBook by providing actionable insights on the company’s financial health, all while working with a fun and energetic team!

  We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead of Billing & Accounts Receivable to join our Finance Team. The Lead of Billing & Accounts Receivable will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing and collections for our recurring revenue model, working collaboratively with offshore teams, and providing mentorship to the Billing & Collections team. The ideal candidate will have experience in subscription billing & collections, project management skills, data-driven decision-making abilities, and a customer-centric approach to billing and collections.

   

  Primary Job Responsibilities:

  Ensure timely and accurate billing and collections for our recurring revenue model, with a focus on accuracy and monthly reporting of KPIs Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Success, and Finance, to resolve billing and collections issues and optimize processes Monitor and report on key billing and collections metrics, using data to drive decision-making and process improvements Provide mentorship to Billing & Collections team members, supporting their professional development and growth Work with offshore teams to ensure consistent processes and practices across regions Conduct regular audits of billing and collections processes and documentation to ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations Manage special projects related to billing and collections, including system upgrades and process improvements Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting In addition to lead responsibilities, daily transactional business as usual work is required  

  Skills and Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable collections, with experience in a lead or mentorship role preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders Customer-centric approach to billing and collections, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service Experience with Salesforce and Oracle ERP preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making Ability to work independently, under tight deadline at times, and in an ever changing/dynamic environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

  Compensation

  Annual base salary: $67,025-$95,000 Target annual bonus percentage: 7.5%  

  *Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location. 

   

  Working Conditions:

  The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
