Responsible for all Banquet function activities to include, set up, service and break down. Supervises Banquet functions to ensure that; all personnel follow Hilton Standards, all services, menu items and activities specified on the Banquet Event Order are provided in a manner that exceeds the guest’s expectations. Assists Banquet Manager with selection, training and scheduling of all Banquet staff.
Supervise Food and Beverage service to ensure consistency throughout the banquet.Assigns staff to specific function for the shift. Coordinates multiple functions with captains and servers.Assists in the planning, organizing, and execution of all banquet functions.Greets Client in charge and responds to requests. Assumes responsibility for handling guest-related problems, and providing solutions.Maintains communication with the Catering/Events Team and Culinary Team to discuss operational updates, changes, and service flow.Reviews product and linen inventories, submits orders and requests to suppliers as necessary.Speak at pre-shift meetings prior to events to inform staff about event particulars and expectations.Prepare banquet check at the conclusion of the service.Trains and supervises staff to properly service functions.In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
Supervise all assigned side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking banquet cabinet supplies.Supervise general cleaning tasks using standard hotel products as assigned to adhere to health standards.Abide by all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.Check with Facilities, Catering and Culinary for any last minute changes.Assures that weekly event orders match weekly event order list.Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions.Complies with all hotel rules and policies.What are we looking for?
EDUCATION -High School Diploma or equivalent required.EXPERIENCE -Requires at least three years experience in a food and beverage leadership role in a full service hotel or free-standing restaurant/banquet operation.LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES -Ability to obtain government license or certificate. CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training is recommended.
