Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.
Job Summary
Receives, checks in, and issues materials in support of construction and maintenance activities. Responsible for warehouse layout planning, establishment of document files, preparation of required documents and reports. Maintains inventories and completes records.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure proper planning, receipt, storage, and issue of all project materials and the control of project furnished items.
Provide leadership to cause the creation of organizational structures and processes required to fully execute the requirements of services and is responsible for the execution of services. Evaluates service execution for compliance to contract, schedule, cost budgets, and quality. Advises team of status, issues, impacts, risk, and cost influence factors in reference to scope of work.
Inform team of updates to safety rules and procedures.
Ensure that all items received for storage are properly processed through the GCSS-A system.
Adhere to shelf-life program practices and policies.
Perform causative research to solve various receipts and issue discrepancies involving shortages, overages, damages, unit of issue/unit of measure, duplicate documents, etc.
Ensure all hazardous materials being shipped out of the warehouse have a hazardous certification document signed.
Ensure compliance and adherence to various Army regulations, SOPs and, other military Doctrine as it relates to SSA Operations. (AR 710-2, AR 710 2-2, AR 190-51, etc.).
Adhere to all applicable safety procedures and policies.
Provide good oversight over the performance and production output of the entire operation.
Maintain database as well as files IAW established guidelines.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of related experience.
Must be able to obtain both a Technical Transportation of Hazardous Materials & European Hazardous Material certification.
Must be able to obtain a HAZ 12 & HAZ 15 certification.
Must be proficient in the use of the GCSS-A system, in particular, the transaction codes relating to the Receipt and Issue/ Storage processes.
Must be proficient in running a storage section in an SSA utilizing GCSS-A.
Must be able to multitask and work with little or no supervision.
Must be a team player and provide a strong level of customer service.
Must have good leadership skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
Must be able to understand and comply with various military regulations, directives, and SOPs.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Requires experience in computer database management (Word, Excel, Access).
Technical Transportation of Hazardous materials certification.
Must be proficient in utilization of GCSS-A in an SSA environment.
Must be proficient in utilizing office equipment, programs, and spreadsheets utilized in reporting daily workload data.
Must be proficient in creating Radio Frequency Identification Tags (RFID tags).
Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Will require walking, bending, reaching, and carrying.
