SHIPPING CLERK - BRAND PROMISE Big picture mission of this role This position will assist Shipping, Transportation and Sales with Whirlwind’s core values of RAPIDC while maintaining our brand promise of “No Headaches.” This role will report directly to the Brand Promise Manager. Job Responsibilities * Following up with Shipping and Loading on each load status to ensure thorough communication as the day progresses, including Manufacturing when Loading is waiting on material to be completed. * Communicating with Transportation teams to ensure on-time delivery. * Resolving issues regarding load completion, driver delays, material delays, etc. to assist Sales with our “Do The Right Thing” commitment. * Coordinate the load pick up times with the Shipping Manager and Transportation teams * Quickly provide status updates to Sales regarding backorders, delivery status, loading status, material issues, etc. preferably three days before the scheduled load date. Job Qualifications * Previous work experience in a shipping or manufacturing environment OR sales and customer service * Adequate knowledge of clerical processes such as but not limited to: Emails, phone calls and data entry * Proficient computer skills * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written * Strong people skills, ability to manage tense situations with drivers, customers, etc. with a calm demeanor as needed * Bilingual English and Spanish is a huge plus!
