Job Summary
Clinician provides therapeutic services in the outpatient specialty clinic forpatients receiving substance use disorder treatment. Patient and familyservices may include clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, brieftherapeutic interventions, care plan development, case management, andreferral to other medical services. Clinician utilizes an evidence-basedframework with a multicultural and trauma-informed lens to support patients intheir path to recovery. Clinician maintains active caseload and appropriatedocumentation of services in the electronic health record. Clinician functionsas an integral member of the interdisciplinary team in the outpatient settingas well as part of the larger organization. Services uphold Colorado Office ofBehavioral Health (OBH) and Licensure Standards. Clinician is activelyinvolved in quality improvement, data monitoring, and in research projects.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for direct patient care. All documentation must clearly addressthe patient's individual life areas, in need of clinical support, toachieve positive clinical outcomes. Facilitates both educational andtherapeutic groups as well as individual sessions and fundamental casemanagement. (15%)Provides basic on-the-job training of assigned duties and assists thesupervisor with the day-to-day activities; will reliably provide inputregarding corrective action and performance appraisals. (15%)Supplemental clinical supervision and case consultation for assigned teammembers* Monitor clinical progression* Caseload distribution(15%)Development and tracking support of Gemba metrics* Promotes alignment of team members with Denver Health strategic initiatives* Supports monitoring of compliance with Federal, State and Accreditationbodies (Random audits of clinical documentation)* Develop & sustain standard of work(15%)Documents legibly, while accurately reflecting the patient's clinicalprogression per regulatory and state guidelines. Responds to patient andreferral needs, maintains a safe environment of care and ensures themaintenance of patient confidentiality. (10%)Promotes positive interpersonal (customer) relationships with fellowemployees, physicians, patients and visitors. Treats these individualswith courtesy, dignity, empathy and respect; consistently displayscourteous and respectful verbal and non-verbal communications. Education:
Master's Degree from a certified Master's program in psychology,counseling, social work, or other related human services degree.Required
Work Experience:
1-3 years Typically 3 years of clinical experience post master's degreeRequired
Licenses:
LPC-Licensed Professional Counselor - LPC State Licensing Board Required orLCSW-Licensed Clinical Social Worker - LCSW State Licensing Board RequiredBLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart AssociationRequired andACD-Licensed Addiction Counselor - NAADAC - The Association for AddictionProfessionals preferred
