Job Posting for Part-Time Law Library Clerk
Position Summary:
The Law Library Clerk is responsible for providing assistance with legal research, reference, and library services to the County, and to municipal corporations, townships, and courts within the County and assist the law librarian in managing, coordinating, acquiring, and utilizing legal resources. The Law Library Clerk assists with the statutory duties of the Law Library Resources Board and any additional functions as determined by the Law Librarian and Board.
The Law Library Clerk performs a variety of duties including answering the telephone, filing, assisting patrons, and assisting with the Notary Public class, as needed.
The position includes a minimum of 2 full days per month plus covering vacation and sick leave of the Librarian.
Part-time County benefits are included.
Hourly pay range: $15.00 -- $17.50 per hour
Requirements and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Experience 1 to 3 years serving as an Administrative, Executive or Legal Secretary or in local government
Ability to perform the duties described in Sections 307.51 of the Ohio Revised Code.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and use appropriate judgment in handling information and records.
