　　The Land Surveyor II position is located at the District FourHeadquarters Office in Chanute. This position supervises the preliminarysurvey activities for the Bureau of Right of Way and manages theinternal resources, along with coordination of consultant surveyresources utilized by the Bureau.

　　The Land Surveyor is responsible for locating, establishing and/orrelocating section corners, property corners and KDOT right of way,reviewing deeds and plans relative to project site, alignment recoveryand establishment, vertical control recovery and benchmarkestablishment. This position also obtains elevations and topographicinformation, makes on site project inspections of survey operations toreview all operations and trains appropriate District personnel insurveying and basic mathematics.
