ESB Clark Heavy Construction Inc. is looking to fill Laborer/Helper positions in following counties in Iowa: Montgomery, Adams, Cass, Pottawattamie, Fremont, Mills, Ringgold, Page, Taylor. This is a temporary, full-time seasonal position, and we are looking to fill 3 (three) job openings for employment from April 1, 2024 until December 20, 2024.
Duties:Laborers will operate dump trucks, flat bed trailers, small tractors and skid steers for land clearing and conservation work on residential farm properties for the Employer who is an agricultural construction company. Pickup trucks of 7,000 - 15,000 lbs will be driven by laborers in conjunction with job duties to haul equipment, materials and waste. Workers must be able to hook and unhook trailers as well as drive a truck that is pulling a trailer. Additionally, laborers will assist with the clearing and conservation work by shoveling dirt and loading/unloading materials and waste - this work does not require the use of many tools aside from a shovel, garden hoe, rake, or similar, as any more heavy-duty tools are used ONLY by more experienced workers of the Employer. Workers must be able to lift/move up to 75 lbs without assistance and must have a Class C driving license prior to employment.
Laborers will operate dump trucks, flat bed trailers, and small landscaping tractors and skid steers. Driving on and off road trucks. Hauling material in dump trucks and flat bed trailers. Must be able to hook up and unhook trailers.
Need a motivated labor person. Shovel dirt move job materials around on site. Follow directions. Get in and out of the trench. Very physical job. Have to be active person. Must be able to drive a pickup truck and pull trailers. Must be able to hook up and unhook trailers. Willing to learn North and South direction. MUST BE TRUST WORTHY AND DEPENDABLE.
Requirements: Workers must be able to lift/move up to 75 lbs without assistance and must have a Class C driving license prior to employment to drive trucks between the worksites to bring maintenance materials. Work hours 7am - 5pm, must be available weekends. Overtime as needed.
Terms and Conditions of Employment: 21.83/hr, at least 40 hours/week, Mon-Sun, 7 A.M. to 5 P.M. (schedule varies). Overtime is available as needed. Overtime rate of pay is $32.75 per hour. Workers needed to begin work 4/01/24 until 12/20/24.Work will be done in multiple work-sites in following counties:Montgomery, Adams, Cass, Pottawattamie, Fremont, Mills, Ringgold, Page, Taylor.
Transportation: From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide advance payment for transportation and subsistence (including meals and, to the extent necessary lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.46/day during travel to a maximum of $59/day with receipts.
Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
Tools, equipment and supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages and pay by-weekly by check. The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law. The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred bythe H 2B worker.
