  Additional Qualifications and Skills:

  Knowledge of Harvard systems desirable. Proven ability to work independently and flexibly under pressure. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent oral and written skills are essential. Computer experience required with proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and knowledge of web-based applications.

  Liaison with lab, departmental, University, and external personnel. Prepares and processes all financial transactions. Responsible for meeting submission and reporting deadlines and approving financial data for annual and final reports. In collaboration with Research Portfolio Manager (RPM), responsible for sponsored research portfolio including purchasing, expending, reporting, budgetary compliance issues, including effort reporting, cost sharing, transaction allocation and post audit issues. Composes, types, and edits correspondence, reports and faculty recommendation letters. Monitors use of purchasing system ensuring compliance with groups policy and procedures. Oversees and processes research appointments and visa application materials for international researchers. Designs and implements SOPs and administrative systems for groups. Oversees purchasing, maintenance, tagging, tracking of lab equipment. Oversees maintenance and repair of lab facilities. IT management including maintenance of group web pages, upkeep of software and computer systems, and interfacing with FAS IT support. Oversees appointment/meeting schedules and travel arrangements. Calendar management for faculty member(s). Performs other duties as required including supporting an array of faculty administrative tasks (CV, recc letters, group organization)

  This is a hybrid position with an office located on campus in Cambridge, MA. This position is required to work in-person on campus four days per week during the 90-day orientation and review period, and thereafter a minimum of three days per week. Specific days and schedule will be determined between the employee and their manager.

  Job Summary:

  Reporting to the Assistant Director of Faculty Support Services, provides complex administrative support to a faculty member(s) and their research laboratory. Group size within CCB fluctuates and the group could be between 15-30 people per lab.
