Reassignment Qualifications: Current Department of Labor employees only, with at least one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service as a Labor Services Representative or Trainee 1/2; if you have less than one year, you must be reachable on the current Labor Services Representative eligible list for this location, if one exists.70.1 Transfer Qualifications: One year of permanent or contingent-permanent as a Grade 14 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service. Note: For 70.1 transfers, a comprehensive list of titles approved for transfers is available. 70.4 Transfer Qualifications: One year of permanent or contingent-permanent or 55b/c service as a Grade 11 or higher and a passing score on Labor Services Representative exam and a bachelor’s degree *. Note: Candidates must not have failed the most recent examination for this title. Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:As a Labor Services Representative Trainee 1, you would be trained, under supervision, to assist customers and provide services to the public in accordance with quality and quantity standards mandated by various laws, rules and Federal regulations. You would learn how to interview and elicit information from customers, examine claims issues and make determinations to resolve complex or unusual problems related to eligibility for Unemployment Insurance benefits.
