Job Description

　　The Lab Construction Project Manager is responsible for the gathering and understanding internal customers' requirements, design, planning and execution of various construction projects from design, start to finish. These projects may include base builds, progressive builds, building retrofits and tool installs. The goal is to ensure that the projects are completed successfully and safely within the stipulated scope, budget, schedule, meeting the quality expectations and customer satisfaction.

　　Assists in safety and quality culture and defining project scope, budget, developing project timelines, and ensuring successful execution of construction projects. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities pertaining to building and facilities construction projects. Interfaces directly with construction general contractors through all project phases from bidding to project closeout. Executes the contracting strategy, project scope, schedules, approval requirements, project budgets, quality and change controls, and timeline of project approval requirements. Reviews CSA, process, electrical, and mechanical designs associated with the construction of new sites or optimization of existing sites to ensure that the scope of work being designed is in alignment with the project scope baseline. Ensures that deviations to scope are properly vetted per change control and trend processes. Outlines construction site architecture, documents equipment requirements and conceptual designs, and maintains all other documentation related to project site. Records and reports key construction metrics to team members and management. Collaborates with teams to perform troubleshooting and rootcause failure analysis onsite. Develops project/program indicators to manage program health including quality and timelines. Communicates anomalies to senior team members by concisely stating the problem and specific impact to the project.Attend and/or chair regular project related meetings/site inspections (e.g. Project Review, Design Review, Safety Walk, Site assessment, etc.) with project team members and contractors.Stakeholder management including gathering requirements from internal customers (Business Units), providing regular updates and reporting of project status.

　　Qualifications

　　You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　B. Sc or B. Eng in construction, safety or engineering.Experience working in construction site environmentAt least 5 years of experience with construction management on major industrial lab facilities and base build construction projects: contract management, schedule and budget development and management; change control; health and safety; construction means and methods.Advanced English level.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Master's degree in Construction Management or related Engineering degreePMP
