Kohler Summer Co-op - Maintenance

Responsibilities:
Research training programs, courses, equipment, and materials offered by both technical collages and private companies.
Handle any technical issues with desktops or tablets.
Conduct and assist with department training courses as needed.
Lead/coordinate hands on training focused on Cast Iron equipment.
Work with individual department trainers or designees to ensure common training is carried out in a standardized manner and schedule.
Coordinate changes to equipment to ensure proper procedures are in place, ie. preventative maintenance, lockout/tagout, confined space, etc. (Create procedures, equipment numbers, etc.)
Develop and document scope of work and limiting conditions through worksite evaluation and consultation with the requester, engineering, equipment suppliers and team leaders.
Review job plans as necessary with the maintenance team prior to commencement date for large projects.
Coordinate meetings with engineering, supervisors, contractors and maintenance staff as required to ensure success through documentation of tasks to drive success.Investigate and audit work orders for completion, including preventative maintenance work orders.
Routinely review equipment uptime and maintenance costs to identify opportunities for improvement and prioritize response.
Solicit feedback from equipment users, skilled trades associates, engineers, and OEM to identify the root cause of chronic failures.
Assist General Supervisor, Supervisors, Foremen, and Planners, etc. as requested.

Actively enrolled in bachelor's degree program in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution
Microsoft Office and SAP experience
Additional skills sought include good oral, written and computer communication skills
