Responsibilities Responsible for determining knowledge management needs supporting the mission, vision, and goals. Determines Knowledge Management (KM) technology to include web-based interface tools aligned with Military and Civilian business practices. Provide KM technology solutions for JPMRC 196th BDE to include internal support to subordinate headquarters located in Hawaii, Alaska, Guam and mission requirements west of the international dateline. Perform the full scope of technology support IOT, and implement KM principles and work practices within the JPMRC 196th organization. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing long-range plans and objectives for administering a knowledge management (KM) program; and evaluating the effectiveness of a knowledge management (KM) program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Knowledge Management Planning and Evaluating Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a(n) Training Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest. This position is subject to deployment through-out the Pacific AOR to include countries West of the International Date Line, that employee is deployed and work in austere and remote field conditions in support of maneuver training exercises as part of a forward support training package. Deployments are to other training areas. In the event of a deployment, the employee must continue to perform assigned duties to support the mission requirements until relieved by proper authority, or the mission is complete. The employee may be required to live and work in tents or shelters while on deployment and may be expose to hazardous conditions. During rotational exercises, the employee is required to work a flexible duty hours which includes - weekends, holidays, and shift work consistent of 10-12 hours days for an extended 2-week period or longer
