Do you want to make a direct impact in improving the lives of refugee children? ICF is looking for a Knowledge Management (KM) research assistant to support the development and organization of resources for a Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect clearinghouse for facilities that care for unaccompanied children, staff that work with unaccompanied refugee children who have been released to sponsors in America, and federal staff working with this same population. Desired areas of expertise include research (gathering, organization and synthesizing information), experience in public child welfare and/or experience with Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) unaccompanied children’s programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out open source research and analyzing and summarizing academic and policy literature.
Coordinating and conducting interviews and focus groups and carrying out basic qualitative analysis.
Helping to manage surveys and analyzing basic quantitative data.
Providing research and administrative support to Knowledge Management (KM) team members.
Assisting with development of reports that keep the ORR provider network informed on best/ emerging practices in given areas.
Developing concise and meaningful presentations, briefing papers, or other materials for use by the ORR and the provider network.
Collaborating with KM, Training and Communications teams on the appropriate design, delivery, and marketing of products and websites.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, behavioral health, public health or other relevant field.
2+ years of relevant work experience supporting research or knowledge management
Successfully complete Federal and State criminal background checks (fingerprints) and Child Protective Services (CPS) clearances from each state in which he/she has lived for the past five years due to Government contract.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in public child welfare or with Office of Refugee Resettlement Programs
Experience in identifying, reading and understanding research literature
Experience in basic quantitative and qualitative research methods
Proficient with MS office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$57,737.00 - $98,153.00
