　　Basic Job Functions:

　　Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore,candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead,and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeepingstandards at all times.

　　Buying of non-ferrous metals from the public, properly identifyingmaterial into the appropriate type or gradeEnsure compliance with applicable state law and company policy whileproviding excellent customer service to the retail publicGreet and assist retail customers in purchasing non-ferrous scrapmetal creating a positive customer experienceAccurately identify the various non-ferrous scrap materials andgrade accordingly Understand the different pricing of materialsValidate proper identification and paperwork from retail customersConduct monthly retail inventoryIdentify non-conforming or unacceptable types of scrap materialFollow and enforce all buying procedures and best practices toensure compliance with local and state laws as well as CompanypolicyOperate small material handling equipment as necessary to movematerials for processingClean and maintain work areaAll other tasks as assignedMinimum Qualifications:

　　High school diploma or GED requiredPrevious experience requiring customer service to public, vendors orinternal contactsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent customer service skills Strong organizational skills withattention to detailsAbility to be flexible and display a positive attitude in afast-paced environmentWilling to work Monday to Friday and Saturdays as requiredWilling to work outside in all weather conditions Basic math andcomputer skillsMust wear all necessary PPE while working or while in the yard.Follows company safety standards at all timesThe right candidate must be able to effectively interact withcustomers and vendorsWilling to learn, be adaptable and be self-motivatedPreferred Qualifications:

　　Knowledge of scrap materials a plus.
