Key Account Executive (Los Angeles)

Kate Somervilleis looking for an Account Executive who will be responsible for building share and volume in their territory of retail stores and delivering account specific sales and merchandising goals in a cost-effective manner. This is an in-store, client-centric position responsible for inspiring, educating, and motivating account personnel through strong sales support, event planning and execution. The primary objective of the Account Executive is to support efforts to ensure account education and event needs are met to maximize sales opportunity within their territory.
Role Responsibilities:
Maintain a weekly instore schedule and territory coverage plan to optimize business results and deliver the sales plan
Review and analyze weekly sales to maximize territory sales performance, course correcting as necessary
Hire, recruit, and maintain productivity of freelance talent in collaboration with line manager
Plan and execute corporate and/or special events
Conduct regular business review with key account personnel i.e., Department/Store/District Sales and/or Education Management, identifying opportunities to strengthen partnership and support achieving sales targets
Plan field visits with the management as necessary
Manage budgets for travel & expense and freelance
Exemplify highest standard of sales and customer service skills
Maintain superior knowledge of brand and product information
Educate and train on the Kate Somerville brand heritage and culture, product demonstration, and selling techniques
Merchandises linear, case line, and secondary locations according to merchandising guidelines and retail plan
Assist each account with inventory management assessing and communicating areas of opportunity with line manager
Adhere to corporate deadlines in a timely, concise manner
Collaborate with line manager to ensure sales targets are met and exceeded
Develop and nurture relationships with key account personnel
Strategize, plan, and execute in-store events to increase sales and expand brand awareness
Regularly communicate with line Manager on territory needs, notable happenings, and competitive sales trends
Communicate with line manager on all monthly freelance reporting
Skill, Education, Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
1-3 years equivalent experience in retail beauty and account management
Exceptional salesperson able to deliver sales targets while delighting clients
Able to assess trend of business and build action plan to deliver sales growth targets
Able to effectively build a team to support delivering sales results
Effective time and resource management skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build positive business partnerships
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Ability to execute and lead projects as needed
Excellent communication skills - verbal, non-verbal, and written including strong presentation abilities, both in person and virtually
Proficient in all Microsoft- Office programs
Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day and lift boxes/items up to 20 lbs
Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings & weekends
Associate must live in the assigned main market or territory
Must have valid driver-s license, good driving record and cannot have any travel restrictions
Must have a car and reliable transportation to and from work locations
Travel up to 70% required
The expected base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.
This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary quarterly bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
