Context/Scope:

Diageo Mexico has multiplied the Sales (volume) two times in the last five years and our growth projection is to double the business into the next 5 years, mainly driven by Off trade channel like Modern Trade. We have a clear vision of being recognized as one of the top 3 sales forces.

Diageo has a solid position as market leader into the growing category of whisky. We want to strengthen our position in whisky category, but at the same time we have decided to expand our relevance and continue with our value creation strategy by entering in some other categories, such as rum, vodka, tequila innovation.

Convenience is one of the fastest growing channels and a key player to deliver the strategy. Now is the channel who drive the growth of the industry it has around 35% SOM May 2024 and our goal is continuing to grow in a sustainable way.

Competitiveness in the industry and more fast paced customers have driven the suppliers to develop new business strategies based on deep business analysis and insight generation to meet their expectations and achieve our bold business goals through execution

Due to its bold expansion, convenience has become a priority channel.

Full account´s PL accountability seeking continuous optimization.

Generate relevant contributions in terms of cash flow for the company.

Maintain profitability within according to the current trade strategy.

Identify local business opportunities in order to improve customer profitability.

Responsible for generate benchmark between retailers and suppliers in order to maintain DIAGEO as an attractive option for all MT customers.

Market Complexity:

Convenience is one of the fastest growing channels and a key player to deliver the 5-year strategy in México.

We must ensure keep recruiting consumers to the “Gathering” occasion.

Oxxo consolidating their position as leader in convenience.

Retailers focus shifting to a Financial oriented business.

Indicators like Inventories Payment Terms are becoming as important as margin and sales.

Spirits are usually purchased in weekends because of the consumption occasion, 200 ml formats are bringing new consumers to the category.

Competitors becoming more professionals in their approach with customers. And we need to continue leading the way of doing business with them, including new concepts and variables into the conversation and generating customer, consumer and shopper insights to build value for both.

Efficient response to brands and customer’s needs and tailor-made analysis to develop commercial plans to grow our business and unlock innovative opportunities.

Begin every year at the JBP process their key pillars to match our strategy and develop focused activities.

Limited in-shelf space to display and list products.

Differentiation for Nielsen Areas, is becoming more important, developing region strategies to maintain growth in key sku’s.

We need to continue generating local relationships with OXXO and operations structure (regionalize).

Our challenge is to generate outstanding relationships with Replenishment Commercial team, in order to achieve a new way to implement new strategies.
