Magna-Power Electronics, a Flemington, New Jersey based electronics manufacturer, is seeking an individual for the role of Junior IT Systems Support to join its dedicated world class team. The Junior IT Systems Support will provide technical assistance and support Magna-Power's team, ensuring seamless operation of computer systems, software, networks, and printers. This role requires a proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving, along with excellent communication skills to collaborate with various departments. Given the complex nature of the operations, there will be significant hands-on training and interaction with various Magna-Power teams.
The Junior IT Systems Support is responsible for:
Providing support to Magna-Power team members for hardware, software, or user management configurations as related to IT.
Deploying new computers using the company's imaging systems.
Providing technical support for production-related software and hardware, ensuring minimal downtime.
Assisting in the planning and execution of IT projects to improve overall system efficiency.
Coordinating with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements as needed.
Creating and revising basic reports for the company's ERP system using SQL database queries or visual query builders.
The education and experience for this position includes:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Strong demonstrated background in IT will also be considered in lieu of educational background.
Previous experience in IT support or a related role is an advantage.
Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and security.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Exposure to data structures and basic database queries.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Domain Controller preferred, but not required.
