Overview

　　About the Role:

　　The Jr. Engineering Controls Specialist works with the Engineering Controls Specialists to provide technical support in the programming, installation, repair, maintenance, and adjustment of industrial controls and instrumentation up to and including programmable logic controllers (PLC). Supports the production of safe, high-quality products and team member safety.

　　Compensation: $55k-65k annually commensurate with experience and other qualifications

　　Essential Duties/Projects (including but not limited to):

　　Report to and receive direction from the Engineering Controls Specialist. Frequent interaction with the Senior Engineering Technician

　　Bend conduit, determine wire sizing, develop material lists

　　I nspect instruments periodically and makes calibration adjustments to ensure functioning within specified standards. Maintains calibration records for all instruments

　　Troubleshoot malfunctioning control equipment at the component level. Examines and tests mechanism and circuitry for defects

　　Adjust and repair final control mechanism, such as automatically controlled valves and positioners (CIP systems and product lines)

　　Perform preventative maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime, noting conditions that require further attention

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Enrolled in or completed a 2 or 4 year college program in an electrical engineering/technical field of study

　　Basic electrical/electronic knowledge. Able to read electrical schematics, process flow diagrams.

　　Working knowledge of Process Controls – PCP’s SPC, PLC, Automation and SCADA Instrumentation. Allen Bradley experience a plus.

　　Proficient with mechanic/electricians hand tools and electrical meters.

　　Proficient in MS Office (excel, word, power point) and demonstrated computer skills
