Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Junior Buyer/Procurement Analyst to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will effectively select, manage, and optimize the supply chain to support all activities related to distribution fulfillment, service, assembly, facilities, MRO and or capital equipment. Carry out broad assignments involving the negotiation and purchase of critical or strategic items, requiring technical or specialized knowledge and experience. Form strategic alliances with key suppliers through the execution of a quantitative supplier certification program. Aggressively improve sourcing, costing, and quality goals. Proactively develop new suppliers where preferred suppliers are inadequate. As a Junior Buyer/Procurement Analyst, you are a part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

Properly communicates all requirements, specifications, etc. to suppliers in a timely and thorough manner, working closely with Project Managers, Service Technicians, Installers, Warehouse, Accounting and Quality.
Execute the contract purchasing and streamline backorder reporting for installation schedule
Effectively coordinate inventory control from contract use to reutilize for margin
Assist PM’s, Service, Engineering and Installers in the competitive sourcing and the qualification of components while developing programs to support new product launches.
Actively Manage, track, and report product lead times and shipping status to installation and service teams for planning purposes.
Actively determine and manage item cards in the ERP system. Determine and enter key attributes including but not limited to item card maintenance, lead times, cost, primary and secondary suppliers, sourcing rules, reordering policy, unit of measure and category codes.
Negotiate, and manage annual supplier pricing contracts to ensure favorable Purchase Price Variance in support of company objectives.
Manage supply base to deliver to the highest “quality” level and “on time delivery” performance in the industry.
Solicit and analyze quotations for new and mature items and negotiate and award supplier contracts in support of company cost initiatives.
Assist in RFP and RFQ’s for customer bids.
In conjunction with management, manages supply base via source selection process, supplier evaluations, account reviews, quality ratings and on-site visits as required; coordinates activities as necessary with Engineering.
Adhere to all corporate authorities relating to purchasing authority and code of conduct.
Coordinate vendor credit transactions as related to return and credit of non-conforming product to suppliers.
Accurately maintains up-to-date records of quotations.
Communicates certificate of compliance, MSDS and other pertinent correspondence requirements in conjunction with the company's safety standards.
Effectively optimizes inventory levels through proper planning and purchasing practices that aligns with company objectives.
Properly follows all safety policies and procedures.
Reviews and communicates CAR’s (Correct Action Report), deviations and delivery performance metrics with suppliers to support effective supplier performance.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
