If you're an experienced accountant with a keen eye for accuracy, there's an exciting opportunity through Robert Half for you to check out at a firm in the Healthcare industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You'll also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Your duties will also include participating in compliance, reviewing schedules for the reporting processes, and staying connected with our external auditors throughout quarterly reviews and annual audits. The majority of time spent in this position involves producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Your responsibilities
Organize capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Offer descriptions of a large number of financial data and communicate insights in a useful and understandable manner
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed
Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Partake in annual closing processes
Complete month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
Requirements
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Expertise in month end closings
Strong familiarity with account reconciliation
Microsoft Excel experience preferred
