Job Description:
GDIT has an exciting opportunity for a Jr. Systems Administrator to support USAREUR HQ G2 at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo. providing IT technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software.
The Jr. Systems Administrator will be the sole, single point of contact responsible for the continuous action of open service requests, prioritizing based upon customer mission requirements, and ensuring that issues are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer.
HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Perform Layer 1 Network management to add, move, install, and troubleshoot issues at user workstations and within data center areas, and be able to coordinate up with the local NEC (Network Enterprise Center) for issues beyond Layer 1.
Provide management of Active Directory Organizational Unit’s to ensure compliance with organization policy.
Manage and coordinate executive Video Teleconference meetings and their associated scheduling system. Provide maintenance to VTC equipment.
Provide any additional administrative and touch labor support as required.
Responsible for being on-call 24 hours a day and coordinating leave and absence to ensure coverage.
Submit weekly reports of work performed back to USAREUR HQ G2.
Resolve ticket requests and track issues in the designated issue management system, prioritize requests, and coordinate with appropriate higher tier support as required.
Provide Tier I/II IT Sys Admin support to end users on a variety of issues and systems including Office Automation Software, Vulnerability Patching, Scanning, Printing, Digital Rights Management, File Recovery, DTA Data Transfers, PKI Token Administration, User Account Creation & Management, Password reset requests, Email Account provisioning, System Imaging, and configuration of system settings such as session timeouts, password complexity, mandatory password change policies, etc.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Candidates must be TS/SCI cleared.
A current IAT II Certification is required at time of hire.
Candidates should have at least one major industry certification (MCSA, CCNA, etc.)
A BS/BA in information technology or related industry training plus 4 years of full-time experience in performing systems administration support is preferred. Or in lieu, an AA/AS degree plus 7 years of full-time experience, or 11 years full-time experience
Relevant and related military or government experience performing Systems Administration support within the US Army environment is desired.
Must be able to travel.
