Job Summary:
The Jr Process Engineer’s primary function is to support the various processes that comprise PCB building within SMT.
Job Responsibilities:
General SMT component and process technology are required
Experience with SMT equipment: screen printers, paste inspection, pick and place, AOI, X-Ray and reflow ovens
Provide support during engineering related tasks
Identify tooling, panelization and methods of assembly that optimize processing
Production floor support
Process improvement and development to improve workflow and decrease production cost
General support and problem solving skills
Attention to detail and process following
Ability to Learn various software and their functionality
Ability to research various datasheets for SMT Parts, Paste, and Glues
Ability to work on Root Cause analysis
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs
Analytical and problem solving skills
Experience in a contract manufacturing environment preferred
Show good judgment through decision-making
Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast paced environment
IPC certifications such as IPC-A-610, JTSD-001 preferred
Data entry and project focus
Preferred Education/Certification(s):
Engineering degree or technical certificate, required
High school diploma or equivalent
