　　RMC is hiring for a Jr. Inventory Management Specialist to support our customer at NSWC Indian Head. This position will perform a wide range of clerical and technical support work, to include providing technical analysis and review (technical screening) of planned orders of equipment, supplies, and material items for the NSWC IH command and its various departments. The candidate will work closely with a mix of civilian and contractor staff to support the review and evaluation of planned purchases of materials and supplies, interact frequently with civilian and contractor staff (in person, via e-mail and telephone) to perform research, verify and correct information, and ensure the completion of comprehensive documentation.

　　Responsibilities include:

　　Reviewing and tracking orders in systems such as the Integrated Budget, Planning and Execution System (IBPES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System, and/or the Navy Information Technology Approval System (NAV-ITAS)

　　Maintaining active accounts with various vendors/sourcing sites

　　Reviewing draft orders and performing research on each item described in the order

　　Identifying technical requirements for the order and possible substitutions

　　Identifying other potential sources for the materials

　　Exploring cost saving approaches

　　Verifying order information

　　Updating relevant spreadsheets and databases

　　Ensuring that final orders meet DoD, Navy, and NAVSEA standards for order execution

　　Processing necessary documentation and reporting on/posting statuses on technical screening activities

　　Requirements

　　A High School Diploma and at least one (1) year of general work experience are required. An extensive working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is also required.

　　Security Clearance: An active DoD security clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

　　RMC employees may be subject to COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements in order to access government facilities.
