The CSG Bakery is a vocational training program that assists adults with Behavioral Health Diagnoses and/or Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in developing work skills. The Bakery is a training program and a full scale business that produces baked goods for sale to area restaurants and the general public. It also provides catering for local events and fundraisers for local organizations.
As a Job Coach, you are a member of the vocational rehabilitation team and responsible for working 1:1 or in a small group setting of 3.5:1 assisting and supporting while the trainee(s) enhances workskills. You will:
Assess and evaluate the trainee(s) work performance.Collaborate, cooperate, and participate in team/rehabilitation meetings.Assist and support trainee(s) in learning task procedures within the Bakery.Assist trainee(s) with enhancing program, food, and work safety practices/policies.Assist trainee(s) in building appropriate interpersonal skills.Complete all assigned trainings, review email regularly/when scheduled, and complete daily work notes.Willingness to learn and model the five principles of trauma informed care; safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment.Commitment to promote cultural, racial, language and gender access, diversity, equity and inclusion.This position offers:
$14.50 per hour.Flexible Monday to Friday hours between 8 AM to 4 PM - Hours are based on trainees' needs.No weekend or holiday hours.Free cookie trays during the December holiday season.Extensive paid training.Career Development Opportunities.Wellness Programs and Reimbursement.The opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others every day.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency and two years of work experience in competitive employment and six months of experience working with individuals with mental health and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.Bakery and food service experience is a plus but not required, paid training provided.Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with trainees and coworkers required.Basic computer skills required.ACRE certification is preferred but not required. We will pay for ACRE training.Be able to work flexible hours to meet individual's and program's needs.Have the ability to obtain clearances as defined by regulations.Become a valued member of the CSG Team.
