  Larimer County Jail is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fillthe position of Jail Program Manager.

  As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managingprogram services for the inmates within the Larimer County Jail. This includesproviding direct supervision to a team of program specialists, coordinatingvarious programs, and ensuring the effective implementation of services.Responsibilities

  Supervision: Provide direct supervision to professional program staff andindirect supervision to inmates, contracted staff, and volunteers. Thisincludes coordinating staff training, assigning and reviewing work,participating in the interview and selection process, and evaluatingperformanc

  Resource and Expertise: Act as a resource or expert in the program area,offering technical guidance to less experienced staff.

  Budgeting: Contribute to the formulation of the department budget byanalyzing past expenditures and forecasting future financial needs.

  Security Backup: Provide supervision and escort of inmates, volunteers,and visitors during programs on a backup basis. Offer backup security for jaildeputies during breaks and respond to and resolve conflicts as appropriate.

  Committee Participation: Participate in various committees and boardsrelated to program activities and responsibilities.

  Policy Development: Develop, implement, and evaluate policies,procedures, objectives, and goals. Make and implement recommendations forchange and modifications to programs.

  Records and Reports: Maintain records, statistics, and reports relatedto programs. Prepare and present reports as necessary.

  Inmate Grievances: Research and respond to difficult and complex inmategrievances. Respond to requests and complaints concerning program servicesfrom inmates, their families, and friends, or the general public.

  Community Coordination: Coordinate program services with other communityresources. Schedule, assist, and evaluate external service providers andapprove program offerings.

  Program Development: Develop program services including classes,testing, tutoring, leagues, discussion groups, and related services.Assess inmate needs and develop curriculum.

  Field Training Officer Program: Oversee the Field Training Officer programfor program services. Develop the program, and select and evaluate trainingstaff.Qualifications

  Two (2) years of experience in a directly related field, or in theperformance of similar duties and responsibilities required.Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and/orexperience, in Human Services, Psychology, Recreation, Sociology,Law Enforcement, or a related field required. (Equivalency is based on one(1) year of high-level experience equaling one (1) year of collegework. For example, an employee with no college would require four (4)years of high-level experience to reach the equivalency of the Bachelor'sDegree.
