The Opportunity
You will play a critical role in leading and mentoring the vendor management operational team that manages vendor contract policies. Assist with vendor selection, negotiation, and purchasing IT products and services. In this role you will help enable efficiencies through reporting, process, and tool improvements for the Vendor Management and Cat Digital partner.
Responsibilities
Lead operations teamefforts performed by outsourced and/or offshore vendors and teams.
Establish requirements and help build process, reports, and tool improvements for our IT team to develop
Arbitrating claims or complaints occurring under the performance of contracts.
Developing and implementing processes and tools for different types of contracts, risk assessments, disputes, and issue resolutions, etc.
Conducting analyses of existing vendor networks to assess their capability of meeting business objectives; recommending new vendors in terms of capacity.
Negotiating, extending, terminating, and renegotiating contracts for the acquisition of equipment, materials, products, or services.

Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.

Analyzes and fully documents client requirements.

Prepares proposals and presentations for a consulting opportunity.
Manages all aspects and phases of a consulting relationship.
Monitors consulting assignments versus expectations.
Knows how to direct the team on monitoring SLAs, payment forecasting, and invoicing through our established tools (GEP Smart and Coupa).
Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Ensures negotiators have awareness of complementary yet diverse interests.
Successfully completes significant negotiations, both internal and external.
Details the risks of negotiation breakdown from each party's perspective.

Detects and addresses lack of progress or a stalemate.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Monitors client satisfaction levels on a regular basis.
Alerts own team to problems in client satisfaction.
Differentiates the roles and responsibilities in a business relationship.
Works with clients to address critical issues and resolve major problems.
Product and Vendor Evaluation: Knowledge of product and vendor evaluation; ability to implement processes for the evaluation and selection of products, tools, services and infrastructure components ensuring they are in line with an organization's business needs and architectural principles.
Level Working Knowledge:
Assists in selecting suitable products and vendors within the organization.
Analyzes and prioritizes products and vendors in the marketplace.
Follows the established processes and procedures for product and vendor evaluation.
Understands the software requirements by cooperating and consulting with architects and other IT professionals.
Follows stated requirements, including local selection criteria and standards for product and vendor evaluation.
Software Licensing: Knowledge of the legal practices, considerations and management of software licensing; ability to implement, support and update software licensing processes.
Level Working Knowledge:
Differentiates between software purchasing and software licensing processes and considerations.
Follows established legal and maintenance requirements for licensed software.
Participates in defining the requirements for software licensing processes.
Updates and maintains existing licenses, with and without escrow agreements.
Implements software licensing standards and best practices used within the organization.
Contracts Management and Administration: Knowledge of policies, standards and processes of how to manage and administer contracts; ability to use proper processes and practices for managing and administering a variety of contractual agreements.
Level Extensive Experience:
Supervises management and administration for a wide variety of contracts.
Advises on the practices and considerations for upgrading existing contracts and solving complex contract management problems.
Trains others on how to use advanced technologies and tools for contracts management.
Develops standard processes to maximize contracts efficiency and effectiveness.
Evaluates operational issues and considerations in contract enforcement.
Anticipates contract issues and manages risk regarding legal issues.
Global Sourcing: Knowledge of global sourcing; ability to procure raw materials, components, services and equipment in a global arena.
Level Working Knowledge:
Helps organization meet global sourcing goals.
Searches for international suppliers that meet specified criteria.
Assists in developing proposals for purchases and collaborations with international suppliers.
Carries out steps, under supervision, to move from low-risk to higher-risk items with new suppliers.
Compiles for comparison purposes estimated landed costs and lead times from international suppliers.
ITIL Service Delivery: Knowledge of ITIL Service Delivery; ability to apply ITIL processes and standards for managing the provision of IT services in line with customer expectations.
Level Extensive Experience:
Monitors effectiveness of ITIL delivery processes, tools, and procedures; recommends improvements.
Elaborates on all services the data center must provide to the business to adequately support it.
Has experience with all aspects of delivering IT services to internal or external customers.
Participates in integrating service delivery with other ITIL processes.
Describes the interaction and relationship between all the major delivery processes.
Explains tools and techniques for tracking and improving the cost of delivering a service.
GEP and Coupa Experience:
Extensive knowledge of GEP and Coupa tool and processes.
Experience with PowerApps and PowerBI is preferred.
Top candidates will have certifications in contracting and negotiations.
