　　Description: An IT Systems Engineer (Databases) job is available in Evendale, Ohio. To be considered for this role, you will need a minimum of 5 years of experience administering databases, or database systems. In this role, you would be responsible for database designs, builds, testing, and configuration going into or destined to go into production environments. These database environments may include, but are not limited to: Oracle, Postgress, and SQL Server. This position should not be considered a traditional role of a Database Administrator. A broader skillset/mindset is required; to include virtualization concepts, enterprise infrastructure considerations, and familiarity with Dell/HP enterprise hardware.

　　Duties will include, but are not limited to:

　　Design, build, testing, and configuration of databases required for Dev and Production environment

　　Responsible for upgrades, backups, major changes etc. as they pertain to databases that support business applications

　　Primary Point of Contact, Subject Matter Expert, for all things databases in the environment

　　Perform Architect-adjacent duties involving consults on database designs for future state platforms that may include ERP systems, or other organization-wide infrastructure

　　Requirements:

　　Minimum 'Level 3' competency equivalent to an associate degree plus 5+ years of work experience

　　Deep level of experience with, and ability to troubleshoot Oracle database configuration and security.

　　o Postgress, SQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, and Cassandra database experience a plus

　　Working knowledge of Virtualization concepts and functionalities such as multi-tenancy and how that environment would impact database design.

　　Working knowledge of Database performance management within enterprise infrastructure

　　Working knowledge of Dell or HP enterprise-wide hardware to include bare-metal setup.

　　Must be a US Citizen and have, or be eligible to obtain, a DoD Secret Security Clearance

　　o Eligibility can be impacted by things such as: excessive dept., frequent foreign contacts or family, having or sending money overseas, felonies (you or your family), outstanding or delinquent violations/fines/penalties by the State or Federal Government

　　Strong verbal and written communication skills, to include ability to produce and deliver presentations and training on new technology implementations.

　　Proactive disposition to research technical issues, contribute to the process and technical improvement discussions, and to learn new tools and technologies that may be required.

　　Desired but not required skills:

　　Experience in IT Infrastructure Systems Design as it pertains to Database setup and configuration.

　　Experience in Collaboration, Decision Making, and Risk Management

　　Industry Certifications

　　Linux Systems Administration

　　We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $100,000 to $125,000.
