  Your role at Clorox:

  Responsible for providing marketing and business expertise and leadership for a portion of the Burt’s Bees base business.

  Brand Marketing lead a multi-discipline marketing and cross-functional team to deliver sales, profit, market share, innovation, and consumer value metric.

  •Lead multi-discipline team to recommend integrated demand (marketing, sales, and product related) activities to Leadership team to meet business objectives and improve Consumer Value and grow share.

  •Partner with Brand Experience team to recommend annual marketing plan strategies, guide plan execution, and identify ways to improve the plan

  •Provide recommendation on global strategy choices for key categories managed

  •Participate and build capability in strategic/higher level subject areas (Business and Brand Strategy)

  •Lead concept and business case development for New Product Initiatives

  •Provide frontline training and coaching to1-2 Associate Marketing Manager direct reports.

  •Partner with the brand's Innovation Team to ensure product pipeline is sufficient to drive the business over the Long-Range Plan and grow share.

  This position reports to the Marketing Director/Studio Leader

  In this role, you will:

  Leads Cross Functional Business Team plans to achieve Burt’s Bees Skincare business goals (NCS, share, profit.)

  Leads recommendation for 18 month integrated business plan based on understanding of SBU Strategic plan and brand/business environment

  Identify and champion new product opportunities

  Identify Innovation pipeline to identify growth areas

  Responsible for the annual and monthly volume forecast recommendation

  Participates in development of Consumer Learning Plan

  Leads pricing work

  Identifies areas where business analysis is needed to inform plans

  Develop contingency plans to address share, volume, and profit effects of marketplace changes

  Leads Cross-functional marketing team to develop and execute highly effective integrated brand engagement (marketing communication) programs, which leverage a deep understanding of the consumer to create a competitive advantage and build consumer value

  Recommend annual integrated marketing plan strategies

  Responsible for developing globally relevant assets for deployment in key strategic markets

  Responsible for ensuring tactical plan (Advertising, PR, NSM, Digital, media plans) is executed with excellence and on budget

  Participate in creative strategy development with agency and guide creative look/feel

  Responsible for understanding brand health & marketing efficiency and effectiveness and recommending changes to plan based on this info

  Develop superior packaging graphics to maximize communication and impact at shelf

  Participate in Strategy work to ensure the long term health of the business

  Recommends Global Skincare Growth Idea

  Participates in Brand Purpose development

  Participates in Strategy development with CDU/SBU leadership team

  Translates Growth Idea, Business Strategy, and Purpose to integrated marketing plan for responsible categories

  Lead new Product Initiatives to meet SBU business goals

  Lead concept and business case development

  Participate/team participates on project teams for commercialization projects

  Participate on category relevant discovery teams to identify long range growth potential

  Build a world class marketing organization by developing the skills of direct reports

  Train and develop BM/AMMs through one on one coaching, as well as the development and execution of appropriate department training activities

  Ensure quality execution of the myGPS process, career planning and feedback

  Participate in recruiting

  What we look for:

  Marketing expertise across diverse consumer channels (paid, owned, earned)

  Experience managing direct reports

  Experience working with external agencies

  Ability to influence and inspire marketing and cross functional peers and senior leaders by generating and implementing new ideas that drive business growth.

  Ability to apply consumer insights, driven by curiosity to understand consumers' motivations

  Excellent analytical skills -- i.e., the ability to assess diverse data sources and influence decision making based on rational and structured recommendation

  Ability to lead and collaborate within cross functional teams

  5-8 years in CPG or relevant brand marketing field, with demand creation and/or P&L responsibility.

  Experience in Skincare or Beauty strongly preferred

  Experience as base brand manager of packaged goods brand with at least $50M in annual sales preferred.

  Workplace type:

  Hybrid - 3 days on-site Durham, NC and 2 days remote

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

  –Zone A: $144,200 - $289,900

  –Zone B: $132,200 - $265,700

  –Zone C: $120,200 - $241,600

  This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
