  Job Summary

  About the Role As a Security Engineer 3, you will be responsible for implementing technical solutions to security and privacy problems for Comcast’s Corporate HQ environment. You will collaborate with multiple teams across IT, Corporate HQ functions, and Cybersecurity (CCS) to understand the technology environment supporting the business and ensure that security and privacy controls are effectively implemented. This is a new role and has potential to expand into additional areas supporting Corporate HQ IT as the function develops. The Security Engineer will play an integral part in joining a team that will implement and may eventually monitor security controls across the Corp IT domains. About The Team: Comcast is establishing a team to provide IT support for Comcast Corporate HQ functions, which includes Administration, Aviation, Finance, Legal, Communications, DE&I and Community Outreach. It also includes Spectacor and its businesses; Sports and Entertainment (Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia Wings, and Maine Mariners), and Gaming, though this role is focused on supporting the Corporate HQ functions. This multifaceted, forward-thinking team works to deliver the business outcomes that Comcast’s executive leadership envision through technology and innovation. Job Description In additional to core IT infrastructure and networking skills, the Security Engineer should have a general understanding of security controls (e.g. access management, security configurations, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, technology resiliency etc.) and how to implement controls across different technical environments. The position is highly collaborative across both technical and non-technical business teams, and requires strong communication and relationship building skills.

  Job Description

  Core Responsibilities/What You Deliver

  Implements/supports implementation of IT security and privacy controls aimed at protecting company assets. (e.g. access management UARs, security configurations, endpoint client installation and troubleshooting, log configuration, vulnerability management and system patching, support technology resiliency planning etc.)

  Evaluates controls compliance posture and works with key collaborators and process owners to drive control implementation through other teams where necessary to improve security compliance and security posture.

  Provides consulting on controls to other Corp HQ IT support teams.

  Develops repeatable processes to improve efficiency and automation of control implementation, monitoring, tasks, reports, and other requests.

  Assists in the development of security operations activities, including vulnerability mitigation, incident response and risk assessments. Develops processes, monitoring practices and metrics to measure the effectiveness of security operations activities and leads towards process maturity.

  Develop & maintain up-to-date technology architecture diagrams, operating and troubleshooting guides.

  Helps ensure that customer and security SLAs are met at all times. Responds quickly to downtime situations.

  Keeps abreast of industry and technology trends, available products and services. Contributes to development of new principles and concepts.

  May involve training junior engineers on internally developed processes

  Skills and Abilities/How You Deliver

  Experience supporting Cloud and On-Prem Infrastructure and a wide range of operating systems and analysis tools/ software.

  Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and change management methodologies (e.g. Threat Model, and Secure Design concepts, testing and migrating changes through lower to production environments).

  Understanding of networking technologies and concepts, including Load balancing, Firewall protocols, and TSF.

  Soft Skill Requirements

  Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to develop a strong rapport across a variety of technical and non-technical teams.

  Exhibits willingness to tackle new areas and challenging topics and shows flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks or stepping in to support execution, as appropriate.

  Self-motivated / able to go from concept to prototype to specification.

  Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.

  In office cadence is typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

  Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  Education

  Bachelor's Degree

  While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.

  Relevant Work Experience

  5-7 Years
