And if that's you we would love to have you join us!Job DescriptionThe Software Asset Management (SAM) Lead provides leadership and direction to ensure SAM policies are in place and enforced effectively to meet related regulatory, operational, legal, and reporting requirements. This role is accountable to our company for stewardship of software assets of the organizations that are under the management of IT. It includes the administration of our internal software and licenses in the software database. You will ensure effective software life cycle management, including audit defense and preparations, license recovery, and asset decommissioning practices, and leads and reports all related cost reduction efforts for the department. You will report to the Director- IT delivery and is based out of Milwaukee, WI.Responsibilities:Lead department best practices and provide governance for maintaining software asset records in SNOW, including license usage monitoring and recovery.Work with ServiceNow and SNOW support teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents involving issues with asset automation, discovery and integrations with other systems.Own, refine and mature the organization's SAM program, architecture and roadmap.Participate in key software license negotiations and renewals, preparing license positions and making recommendations on license optimization.Be a primary contact for outside audits for software and hardware assets.Perform periodic audits, report findings, and recommend and execute corrective actions.Maintain the asset database integrity and ensure compliance with asset governance and standards.Facilitate the accurate reporting of assets, including asset security compliance.The Essentials- You will haveBachelors degree or equivalent experience.Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.The Preferred- You may also haveTypically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.Experience in growth and innovation in the ITAM/SAM space.Experience with Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle and SAP license models.Be able to effectively lead, manage and coordinate tasks.Experience with asset management software; specific experience with ServiceNow or SNOW.Experience with Information Technology concepts, structures, technologies, and processes.Solid experience negotiating and interpreting software contracts, including licensing agreements, subscriptions, maintenance and support, etc.Solid record of managing compliance with related regulatory and legal controls.Demonstrated broad understanding of software licensing models, and related deployment rules.Experience successfully leading software licensing audits with favorable outcomes.Maintained awareness of current technology concepts, trends, and companies.Experience with IT asset procurement practices, and managi
