Our Principal Product Development Engineer will be responsible for leading the development of new product platforms in the Biopharma, Bioprocessing, and other Life Science-based industries. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, proactive problem solver to lead new product development. Role Responsibilities: Lead the development and commercialization of innovative purification product platforms for Biopharma, Bioprocessing, and other life science-based industries. Develop deep technical expertise in Membrane Chromatography Work with internal and external partners to build up development and production capabilities Lead execution projects from development through commercialization Represent the product development in project gate meetings with stakeholders to make stop/go decisions Develop and implement effective product/prototype evaluation methods that assess key aspects of successful products Develop document packages for customer acceptance Drive action within a dynamic and diverse global team Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Materials Science, or related field 10+ years relevant product development experience Understanding the use of CFD and other analytical tools for design development activities Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Proven experience driving action in a global, cross-functional team Strong presentation skills and willingness to communicate internally and externally. Experience representing high profile projects to Senior Executives Ability to travel locally and internationally up to 15% Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in Mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Materials Science, or related field 10+ years of product development experience in life sciences (bioprocessing experience, biopharmaceutical, medical device) Injection molded plastic design experience Dimensioning/tolerancing and GDT for plastic parts Experience in tool qualification Willingness to learn and adapt to fast-changing business needs Hands on experience prototyping and developing new prototyping techniques Established track record leading high profile projects from development to successful product release. Knowledge and experience with membranes-based purifications technologies Enjoys mentoring peers and team members Understand material compatibility with plastics used in bio-processing and medical applications.
