About Investment Reporting Analyst

Job Description:

This role requires a person who is motivated, eager to learn, likes to get things done and has a mentality of ownership. We seek individuals who can identify issues and develop solutions. This person will have the opportunity to interact with a dynamic and intellectual group who believes in improving not only the client’s experience, but the employee experience as well. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate data on the portfolio accounting and performance reporting systems, adhering to all policies and procedures, and contributing to process improvement.

Responsibilities:

Deliver timely and accurate data processing and reconciliation

Ensure accuracy of system data through self audit

Participate in process improvement initiatives

Grow and develop as a subject matter expert

Operational Effectiveness and Workflow Management

Plan, organize, and prioritize assignments to consistently meet high standards of data timeliness and accuracy

Ensure effective and efficient operations and administration of all client accounts by analyzing, defining and recommending improvements to standards, processes and procedures

Recommend improvements to operational methods and workflow to ensure an effective and efficient operating environment

Follow all documented standard, processes and procedures required to maintain the integrity of the portfolio accounting system

Increase the effectiveness of the Portfolio Accounting and Reporting Team by identifying gaps and recommending/providing training and development opportunities for the Team

Technical Knowledge

Account Management within designated portfolio performance reporting platform​Data Processing

Download, translate and post all transactions from electronic custodial data feeds, client statements and manual sources

Manual entry and reconciliation of client brokerage statements and alternative asset reporting into designated system

Accurate setup and capturing of capital account balances as well as contribution, distribution and withdrawal transactions for alternative investments

Reconciliation

Process, review and resolve any exception items to ensure timely and accurate reconciliations for cash, positions and market values

Utilize available audit and control reporting tools to ensure accuracy

Performance Processing and Review

Update global performance statistics, such as index values

Generate monthly performance for client portfolios, groups and composites

Review performance for large cash flows and unusual values to assure the accuracy of all performance returns

Compare performance to an alternate source to ensure accuracy

Reporting

Produce all Monthly and Quarterly investment reports before the designated deadline

Review reports for accuracy, and follow all reporting audit workflow procedures

Design and/or develop custom reports as required

Maintain all report and report content templates as assigned

Salary:

$44,000.00 - $82,000.00

Pay Type:

Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
