About Inventory Specialist

  This position provides an opportunity in a leading retail pharmacysetting to excel in a complex, high impact patient focused role andpositively impact the lives of others. The ideal candidate must be ableto triage pharmacy tasks, balance efficiency with accuracy, work bothindependently and as a team in a fast- paced environment, and achieveexcellence in customer service through compassion and genuine care forall patients while ensuring all medication needs and regulatorycompliance standards are met. Pharmacy Technicians must demonstrateethical conduct and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.TheInventory Specialist is dedicated to coordinating and monitoringinventory management related activities which are critical tomaintaining the right focus on daily, weekly, and monthly tasks thathelp customers on their path to better health. The Inventory Specialistrole: Helps establish true ownership for inventory management activitiesat store level and provides a clear communication channel for eachstore. Enables a consistent approach to inventory management andcritical inventory functions across the chain. Offers an excellentdevelopmental opportunity and recognition for Pharmacy Team Members withthe right skill set who are interested in further development. ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS: Promotes a path to better health by engaging customers tolearn about their health and medications; educates customers about CVSservices and products appropriately positioning CVS as a partner incustomers path to better health. Focuses on the customer, keeping thecustomer top of mind at all times, prioritizing customer needs,displaying genuine care and empathy in all interactions, and ensuringcomplete customer satisfaction. Understands and follows applicableFederal and State laws (e.g., HIPAA), regulations (e.g., OSHA),professional standards, and ethical principles; complies with CVSpolicies and procedures to ensure patient safety and protect patientprivacy and security. Effectively follows workflow procedures with anin-depth understanding of each workstation (i.e., Pick- Up, Drop-Off,Drive-Thru, Production) for day-to-day coordination and processing ofpatient medication orders; manages own responsibilities while shiftingto help the team where needed. Delivers results while balancing qualityand efficiency in all tasks, maintains accuracy while consistentlymeeting workflow and inventory management goals. Demonstrates compassionand care by proactively identifying and resolving potential problems toensure customers have their medications when needed; collaborates withimmediate and extended pharmacy teams, medical staff, insurancecompanies, and customers alike to resolve issues, ensure accuracy, anddeliver timely resolution of any medication or insurance relatedconcerns. Actively seeks opportunities to expand clinical, technical andinsurance knowledge, leveraging available tools and training resources,to develop the basic drug understanding and technical expertise neededto accurately and more effectively assist customers. Contributes tohigh-performing teams by looking for opportunities to contribute toindividual and broader team goals, remains flexible for both scheduleand business needs while easily adapting to changes at work to enablessupportive, collaborative, and challenging work environment.
