Description
The inventory specialist is responsible for the accurate management and reporting of all purchased items. Acts as a
liaison with vendors, suppliers, customers and others as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Establishes positive and professional contact with clients, staff, service providers and the general public.
· Processes invoices from vendors, Residential programs, and contract meals.
· Prepares the quarterly bid system in conjunction with the Associate Division Director.
· Prepares the monthly division reports including Residential and Contract meals programs for the agency,
regulatory agencies, and funding sources.
· Maintains current inventory prices per vendor per program inventory.
· Accurately counts monthly inventory per program.
· Completes TFAP / Food Bank of the Rockies reports.
· Reconciles monthly vendor invoices against vendor statements.
· Answers the agency receptionist telephone as needed.
· Provides administrative support to the Division and agency staff.
· Takes the initiative to identify cost savings in relation to inventory and programming.
· Predictable, consistent attendance.
· Performs all other duties as assigned.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
· Full Time · Monday – Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm and designated holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION
· Associate degree in supply chain / inventory management / general accounting
· Two years’ experience in an office/ administrative environment.
· Microsoft Office expertise
· Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION
· Ability to work within different data base systems as required by vendors, agency.
· Keyboarding skills of 50 W.P.M.
· Ability to work with diverse issues; sensitive to senior issues and concerns.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
· Attention to detail and accuracy.
· Good organizational skills.
· Strong oral and communication skills.
· Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word and Excel.
· Poise and diplomacy in contact with the agency, clients, donors, other service providers and all regulatory agencies and funding sources.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
· An extended period at a desk is required.
· The noise level is low to high depending on production activities.
Salary Description
$21.00-$23.00/hr
