  Job Description:

  This is a complex inventory and property management position requiring a solid knowledge of inventory and property management principles and techniques. May require long hours of work in adverse weather conditions. This position is responsible for supporting the Department's asset management program by taking inventories, updating assets, performing quality control assessments, and running system reports. Knowledge of MaineDOT's Map Viewer, MATS, Google Earth, GPS units and Microsoft Excel is preferred, Responsibilities require independent decision-making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures, Headquarters may be adjusted based on chosen applicant residence.

  To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:

  Training, education or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of inventory and property management principles and practices to perform complex work in procuring or selling public wares or property and 2) the ability to use independent decision making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures.

  All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of: Inventory and Property Assistant and Inventory and Property Associate I.

  Retirement Plan – The State of Maine contributes 13.41% for MSEA positions and18.21% for Confidentialpositions, of employee’s pay to the Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS), on behalf of the employee.

  Gym Membership Reimbursement – Improve overall health with regular exercise and receive up to $40 per month to offset this expense.

  Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts – Set aside money pre-tax to help pay for out-of-pocket health care expenses and/or daycare expenses.
