Scope:
Purchasing: $2.5 billion; Inventory Asset $350 million
Major Responsibilities:
Refine and develop scalable end-to-end inventory management strategies, policies, and procedures that enable delivery of inventory turnover and customer fill rate objectives
Lead on the development of key components of an Open-To-Buy framework to drive strategic value in optimizing inbound flow and inventory utilization vs. a budget while delivering on inventory turnover and customer fill rate objectives
Partner with key cross-functional leaders to include Merchandising, Operations/Logistics, Sales as well as external Vendor partners to deliver on all key metrics and strategic objectives
Develop, manage, and lead a talented inventory management team to ensure continued individual feedback and development, clear succession planning, and a strong connected team culture that delivers results
Engages in and supports broader Supply Chain optimization efforts as appropriate to deliver significant process efficiencies and cost savings as needed

Skills/Knowledge Required:
Key Functional Knowledge: Expert level understanding of core inventory management principles paired with advanced experience in retail planning to include merchandise planning, assortment planning, Open-To-Buy [OTB] management and inventory flow optimization experience.
Systems/Tools Knowledge: Advanced experience within demand planning and replenishment systems (forecasting / purchase ordering); experience in Manhattan Demand Forecasting a plus! Advanced skills with MS Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook are also required.
Advanced Leadership Skills: Demonstrated track record in strategic scoping inclusive of using data to inform a recommendation, influencing/consensus building, critical analytical thinking, and leading major strategic change through a matrixed organization.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required, with a focus on Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
10-15 years of planning, buying, and/or inventory management experience with at least 2 years of experience operating at the director level.
Must have a proven track record in developing, managing, and motivating a team to deliver results in an efficient and timely manner.
