Assists cardiologists in performing highly technical diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, electrophysiology [EP] studies, and radiofrequency [RF] ablations on newborns, children and adults with congenital heart disease.2. Is responsible for monitoring waveforms and pressure gradients during procedures, circulating in the cath lab, running blood gasses, flowcharting, maintenance of equipment and supplies, laboratory quality control and related documentation.3. Interprets orders of the cardiologists and assist in preparation of lab and the patients for procedure.4. Uses equipment necessary to perform tests, and demonstrate advanced level of knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.5. Other duties as required.Other information:Technical Expertise1. Experience with catheterization lab in high volume interventional lab, specializing in procedures such as balloon angioplasty and pulmonary artery stent placement is required.2. Experience with pediatric/adult congenital is preferred.3. Experience with congenital heart disease and sterile technique is required.4. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.5. Experience in healthcare is preferred.6. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.Education and Experience1. Education: Associates degree in Radiology Technologist is required.2. Certification: Registered as a Radiology Technologist is required. BCLS is required. ACLS and PALS certified or be able to obtain certification within one year is required.3. Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5 years is preferred.4.
