Eaton’s CTO Corporate Technology Office division is currently seeking a Grid Intelligence Intern.
The expected monthly salary for this position is $6,000 per month

What you’ll do:
Position Overview:
This position is for an intern with Eaton Research Lab’s Grid Intelligence Team. There will be multiple projects to consider for the intern candidate, based on his/her background and expertise. These projects cover the domains of power distribution grid automation, power distribution systems operation, control, protection, and fault management.
In this role you will:
• Serve as a technical and/or project contributor in technology development and demonstration.
• Explore new areas and participate in brainstorming sessions contributing to technology strategy development.
• Participate in external open innovation events with universities and research institutes.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• PhD student from an accredited institution, OR
• MS student with industrial or research experience
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
One or more of the following expertise:
• Distribution system operation and control
• Distribution systems modeling and simulation
• Distribution grid protection and fault management
• Waveform analysis, time-series pre-processing of power system events and their labelling and classification
• Strong skill sets with machine learning, programming with Python and Matlab

• Enthusiasm and capabilities in technology R&D, demonstration and presentation
