About the Department

　　The Communications Department brings the value of Novo Nordisk medicines and innovations to life through strategic communications that elevate our purpose, drive our business, foster our culture and enhance our reputation with patients, customers, employees and society in the US. Communications is comprised of four distinct yet synergistic teams that work collaboratively with a focus on proactive and progressive approaches to: Corporate Reputation & Brand; Commercial Communications; Enterprise & Leadership Communications; and Digital Channels & Content. We provide objective strategic communications counsel, an ability to flex with shifting organizational priorities and emerging needs and a strong focus on ethics and discretion with the sensitive information we are entrusted with. 　　The Program

　　At Novo Nordisk, interns will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced industry professionals and gain valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience. For ten weeks, interns will be immersed in the environment of a global pharmaceutical company and contribute to the line of business by providing sustainable and meaningful project work. Our internship program also includes instructor led trainings, a leadership engagement series, and a guided mentorship program to offer professional and personal development.

　　In addition to individual department responsibilities, interns will also participate in the program’s capstone event, the Innovation in Action Case Competition. Assigned to cross-functional teams, interns will work closely to develop an innovative and comprehensive solution to a business problem currently facing Novo Nordisk. At the conclusion of the program, teams will present their findings to a board of top Novo Nordisk officials representing the various lines of business.

　　Program Start: June 3rd, 2024.

　　Program End: August 9th, 2024.

　　Scope of Position

　　The Novo Nordisk Inc, (NNI) Digital Communications intern will be working with the NNI Digital Communications Team to support various social media and website projects. Some of the projects the intern will assist with are:

　　Identifying stories to tell across social media, and support execution of projects from creative ideation to final publication.

　　Writing copy for social channels, intranet, website, and US corporate blog.

　　Co-managing weekly editorial calendars for social media team.

　　Supporting photo and video editing as requested.

　　Scheduling social content in company’s social scheduling tool BrandWatch.

　　Supporting monthly analytics reporting across all owned channels.

　　Working with manager and PR agency to conduct daily community management.

　　Supporting digital content and channels team with department-wide campaign and analytics reporting.

　　Supporting greater communications department with writing, research and analytics projects as requested.

　　Physical Requirements

　　0% overnight travel required.

　　Qualifications

　　Must be a current student enrolled or recently graduated (graduation date no earlier than April 2024) at/from an accredited college or university pursuing at least a bachelor’s degree.

　　A completed or in progress bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred.

　　Strong academic record with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

　　Conscientious self-starter with good organizational skills, project management skills and attention to detail.

　　Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities, must be able to multi-task.

　　Strong interpersonal communication and ability to collaborate with teams; must effectively operate independently, across functional lines, and with internal customers.

　　Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability and willingness to learn.

　　Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
