Our expectations:
This 16-month COOP position is within the Development Engineering department, where your primary role will be managing experimental engines as a Build Engineering trainee. You will work with other areas of engineering to understand what type of engine testing is required to validate new designs. Along with other Development Engineers, you will coordinate the build of engines along with significant amount of instrumentation, with an end goal of gathering engine performance data during the engine tests. During the COOP internships at Pratt & Whitney you will work in innovative and versatile teams. You will work on ongoing projects that will have a real impact on the company.
What you need to be successful:
Must haves:
Be eligible to work in Canada.
Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable. Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Excellent communication skills in English (spoken/written). French is an asset.
Assets:
Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities.

Onsite mostly – core hours are 7:30 am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday. Occasional flexibility to WFH
