This Internal Project Manager will be a hybrid role supporting the Steam Turbine product line within the Gas Services with Siemens Energy. The core project work usually starts with the participation in the tendering phase and contribute during contract formulation and drafting the project requirements.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Ensure coherent contract execution by analyzing contractual special requirements, review contract specifications and schedule / reporting requirements with internal stakeholders.
A solid project plan is the basis for success. Therefore, owning the development of project plans activity to assure effective execution by the project team and monitor progress to ensure compliance with the pre-determined execution plan.
A timetable of all activities requires you to coordinate preparation and execution of engineering schedules,
Monetary success of the company will rely on the PM’s responsibility to monitor and report financial development during the project (budget vs actuals). This also entails the preparation or coordination of progress billings, pursue timely payments from the customer and authorizes payments to material suppliers and subcontractors.
Participation in project evaluations, acceptance testing, handles the completion of all close out documentation such as As-built drawings, system operating instructions, transfers or excess materials, billings, collections and payments, and all project records is a given for effective project execution.
Proactively handle management of Contracts, Claims and Risks. Development of opportunities for Change orders and negotiations with customer. Identify potential problems and device contingency plans.
A critical part in the PM world is communication. Your role will also entail to develop and deliver monthly project reports, customer progress reports, customer change proposals, and presentations to management and internal / external collaborators.
What You Bring
Education: Engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical/Production engineering or any other technical degree (Bachelors OR Masters)
Eight or more years of project management experience including management/oversight of project profit and loss and leading cross functional teams. Preferably 5-years of experience in leading international projects and working with customers. Candidates with more experience can be considered for higher level.
Must have heavy manufacturing industry experience
Excellent technical, oral and written communication skills.
Good presentation skills.
Strong leadership skills.
The ability to work independently.
Proficient with computer systems, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Must possess influencing skills to efficiently and optimally within matrix reporting structure.
20% travel- PM may need to travel to project sites to participate in customer meetings, customer witness points and project evaluations.
The candidate must have or acquire after being hired as a PM at Siemens Energy, PMP or IPMA Certification. This requirement will transition to IPMA Certification by 2026. The candidate will be expected to complete the IPMA Certification by the due date

About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
