Summer Internship Program
Our internship program is designed to increase future employment potential for prospects while providing a valuable resource to the business. This Summer Internship will appeal to proactive and self-motivated university students with a genuine desire to learn about the energy business and industry. During the internship, candidates will work on real projects and have real responsibilities. Ideal Candidate
This Intern role within the organization is a Project Analyst based in Edmonton or Calgary. NRG is looking for self-driven, high-caliber individuals who can grasp complex commercial issues and harness information to deliver solutions. In return, NRG will provide the support, guidance, and opportunities to help our ideal candidate be successful. As the emerging talent and a valuable future asset, NRG seeks to help candidates make significant impact, inspire people, and provide exceptional customer service.
Project Analyst Intern Responsibilities include:
Coordinate project, incident management and/or problem management work activities with internal stakeholders, IT, and external service providers.
Analyze customer contact patterns and recommend enhancements that improve service delivery.
Organize, attend, and participate in project meetings, incident management meetings and workshops.
Project administration, including cost and schedule control, filing project artifacts, tracking milestone approvals and change order administration.
Prepare communicate plans, actions items, risks, and issues.
Monitor and follow up on daily project and issue management progress.
Publish status reports and stakeholder updates.
Prepare presentation materials for meetings.
Record minutes and track action item completion.
Provide administrative support, as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Degree discipline: Enrolled in a Degree or Diploma Program with a focus in Business, Project Management, or Information Technology.
Must have completed second year of studies with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Primary Location of Employment : Direct Energy Edmonton or Calgary office.
