We are Manufacturing Engineering Interns to join our facility next Summer 2024 in Canoga Park, CA (Los Angeles area).
After orientation and training, interns will perform entry-level engineering tasks on rocket propulsion projects. Interns will support senior engineering staff and gain experience and familiarization with company projects. Interns must be able to operate effectively in a team environment. Summer internships will start in approximately May/June and end in August/September.

At this facility, we design & manufacture rocket engines and unique power systems that support space exploration & the defense of our nation such as NASA’s SLS, Lockheed Martin’s THAAD, Sierra Nevada’s Dream Chaser, and the Mars Perseverance Rover.
Under close supervision, the intern will support the Strategic Fabrication Center through the following:
Reviewing and approving drawings for producibility.
Identifying and implementing process improvements/advancements and reporting status.
Establishing data collection methods. Learning and applying understanding of variation and statistical analysis to ensure process robustness.
Creating and releasing process documentation and process specification interpretation.
Providing real-time analysis of quality drivers, non-confrmances, performance, customer escapes and inefficiencies.
Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's (preferably at Sophomore/Junior level) or Master's degree in a related engineering discipline.
Additional Requirements:
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communications skills, be proficient in the use of PC, internet, intranet and electronic office applications.
Must be adept at taking direction, work well with teams and be customer focused.
Demonstrated ability to perform on task and follow up on assignments. Must be able to handle multiple projects at the same time and have basic project management skills.
Safe work practices, proper ethics and attention to detail are required. Candidate must work with moderate guidance on projects with short-term focus. This position requires a postive attitude and personal interaction with various team members and customers.
