  The intern will work on or be exposed to the following:

  · Query and validate data from various sources in the Bancorporation’s data environment

  · Use analytic techniques to assess risk in credit portfolios

  · Assist in comparing the credit portfolio to that of peer banks

  · Maintain framework used to manage credit risk (evaluate credit metrics)

  · Various clean-up/data projects

  Qualifications:

  · Currently working on a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or a related degree

  · Exposure to statistical programming software (SAS, R, Python)

  · Experience working with large data sets

  · Basic understanding of SQL

  · Interest in portfolio risk management and statistical analysis

  · Requires strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

  · Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  · Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  · Ability to make sound decisions and be inquisitive – not afraid to ask questions or make recommendations.

  · Working knowledge of computer software programs including spreadsheets, word processing, etc.

  This internship is not eligible for relocation assistance. Local candidates preferred.
