We are in search of an interim Director of Finance to fill a key role with a client based in Forest Hill, Texas. This is a 2-month contract position. 100% ONSITE in Forest Hill, TX 76119.
Interim Director of Finance with government/municipality experience (contract):
This role is vital in the government sector operations, as you will be required to oversee the audit finalization process, kickstart the budget process, and supervise the accounting staff. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and finalize the audit process ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Initiate and manage the budget process aligning with organizational goals
• Supervise and guide the accounting staff, fostering a collaborative work environment
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems for efficient and accurate financial management
• Manage the Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and capital management activities of the organization
• Use CRM systems to streamline customer relationship management processes
• Oversee all accounting functions ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and promptly
• Conduct Auditing activities to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
• Lead Budget Processes, setting financial targets, and managing organizational expenses
• Conduct Cash Flow Analysis to monitor the organization's financial status and making necessary financial decisions.
Skills:
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Extensive experience in capital management and CapEx
• Proficient in using CRM systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions
• Experience in Auditing

Requirements
CPA preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Extensive experience in a government setting, preferably at a leadership level
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance-oriented role
Significant experience in Capital Expenditure (CapEx) planning and management
Proven ability to oversee and manage all accounting functions
Prior experience in auditing and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
Experience in managing budget processes and implementing financial strategies
Expertise in capital management and investment strategies
Strong skills in cash flow analysis and financial forecasting
