Job Summary:

　　The successful candidate will be able to perform at a high-level in a fast-paced environment in an independent manner. The candidate will confirm bills of lading received from fuel terminals and process a high volume of invoices for billing and payment. The candidate will ensure fuel invoices are properly reconciled and matched to the supplier draft notices. The candidate will oversee and manage fuel vendors as well as handle internal calls and inquiries. The candidate will also be responsible for other payable functions within the framework of the company’s policies and procedures and in compliance with applicable regulations. 　　Primary Responsibilities:

　　Daily entry of bills of lading and related documents,

　　Process invoices for payment in a timely fashion by adhering to pre-established policies and procedures,

　　Respond to vendor and/or team member questions and inquiries in a timely fashion,

　　Set up and maintain vendor files as needed,

　　Generate and maintain accounts payable data using the company’s proprietary and non-proprietary systems,

　　Stay abreast of relevant industry and functional A/P knowledge,

　　Perform other duties as assigned,

　　Required Experience:

　　Minimum 2 years accounts payable experience,

　　Direct experience in the petroleum industry is preferred,

　　Basic understanding of fuel types is preferred,

　　Significant data entry experience with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail,

　　Experience using accounting software,

　　Excellent organizational skills with an ability to maintain orderly file/work area,

　　Solid understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within an A/P environment,

　　Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word,

　　Excellent verbal and written communications skills,

　　Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to ensure deadlines are met, particularly during the month-end accounting close,

　　Logistics experience is a plus,

　　Required Education & Certification:

　　Associate degree in accounting or business administration or similar preferredPosition Type and Expected Hours of Work

　　This is a full-time, onsite position based in Houston, TX. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday and range from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
